4 NATURAL FACE PACK FOR OILY SKIN
If you notice your skin is often shiny or has a tendency to break out, you likely have oily skin or combination skin. When sebum production becomes excessive, the result is oily skin or a skin condition called seborrhea, a chronic form of eczema. In addition to a shiny complexion, those who have oily skin usually have larger, more noticeable pores. Oily skin types are also more prone to clogged pores that may lead to an increase in the appearance of blackheads, blemishes and other skin imperfections. Oily skin is the result of the overproduction of sebum from sebaceous glands. These glands are located under the skin’s surface. Sebum is an oily substance made of fats. Sebum isn’t all bad since it helps protect and moisturize your skin and keep your hair shiny and make healthy hair. Symptoms of oily skin include:
- a shiny or greasy appearance
- very large or obvious pores on the skin
- skin that looks thick or rough
- occasional or persistent pimples and acne
- clogged pores and blackheads
- Genetic :- Oily skin tends to run in families. If one of your parents has oily skin, you’re likely to have overactive sebaceous glands, too.
- Hormones :- Hormones affect oil production, so oily skin may be caused or worsened by hormonal imbalances during puberty, pregnancy or menopause and are the hormones most responsible for oil production.
- Oily skin can also be brought on by using the wrong skin care products for your skin type.
- Skin oiliness can change depending upon the time of year or the weather, due to fluctuations in heat and humidity.
- Diet :- For some people, consumption of foods high on the glycemic index, which are high in sugars, carbohydrates and saturated fats, may lead to overactive sebum production.
- Practicing consistent skin care and avoiding unhealthy foods such as fried foods, foods high in sugar, and processed foods may help.
- Washing regularly can reduce the amount of oil on the skin.
- Wash with a gentle soap and warm water.
- Use Blotting papers will not treat the sebum production in the skin, but they can be used to lift excess oil off the skin throughout the day to make it appear less shiny.
- Face mask also help in reducing oily skin.
- Turmeric Mask :- Turmeric can instantly create a glow on face and balance oily skin. Take a bit of turmeric in the bowl. This should be mixed with about one teaspoon of honey and cucumber juice and three teaspoons of rice flour. Mix all into a smooth paste and apply it on the face and neck for 15-20 mins and wash with cold water.
- Oatmeal face Mask :- Oatmeal helps calm inflamed skin and absorb excess oil. It also helps exfoliate dead skin. When used in facial masks, oatmeal is usually ground. It can be combined with yogurt, honey and banana. Combine 1/2 cup ground oats with hot water to form a paste and add 1 tablespoon honey. Massage the oatmeal mixture into your face for about three minutes; rinse with warm water, and dry.
- Tomato Mask :- Tomato juice is well known to give an instant glow, reduce sun tan and any pigmentation as well. Further, those with the oily face can apply this regularly to balance out excess production of sebum on the face. Add three tablespoon of rice flour in tomato juice and add few drops of honey and apply this face pack for 10-15 mins then wash with cold water.
- Bentonite clay face mask :- Bentonite clay is among best natural face packs for oily skin. This works like magic given that it heals the skin from blemishes, and wrinkles and smoothens the skin. It also reduces oil on the skin. that helps the skin to look healthy and beautiful. It soaks up the excess oil and keeps the skin from drying out. make a clay mask with the help of rose water then apply this mask on face and neck and leave it for 20-25 mins then clean with the help of cold water.
